Ellen Weinel PT
Ellen graduated from University of Maryland
School of Medicine, Department of Physical Therapy in 1983. Prior to this, she attended NC State, majoring in Biology.
Ellen was a member of the women's track and cross-country team at NC State when the cross-country team won the NWCAA national
championship. Several years after college, she ran marathons and road races competitively. Ellen worked in the
Raleigh area since graduating; working in a variety of settings including nursing home, home health, outpatient and sports
medicine. She maintained a private practice specializing in head, neck and TMJ. Upper body pain and manual techniques
have been her special area of interest, particularly balancing the head and neck. Her muscle energy techniques are highly
effective especially with patients in severe pain. She also treats the lower body especially patella femoral dysfunctions
and has been trained in kinesiotaping. She enjoys community service with a local kennel club and junior track club.
Elaine Worth Administrative Assistant
Elaine
comes to us originally from NJ, before moving to Calabash, NC in 1996. She started her interest in healthcare at just
14 years old, going one hour a day to the local nursing home to help with feeding the residents. She became a CNA.
In 1982, she worked at Riverview Medical Center in inpatient rehabilitation as a rehab tech for 14 years. After moving
to NC, she was involved in the creation of Seacoast Medical Center from the floor plans up. Upon its opening in 2000,
she became office manager of the rehab department, including PT, OT and ST. She managed the schedules of multidisciplinary
patients, as well as insurance, billing, collections and registration of new patients. Elaine moved to Wilson in 2007,
becoming a part of the CPTA team. She enjoys motorcycling and fishing. She has 3 grown children.
