Ellen Weinel PT
Ellen graduated from University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Physical Therapy in 1983.  Prior to this, she attended NC State, majoring in Biology.  Ellen was a member of the women's track and cross-country team at NC State when the cross-country team won the NWCAA national championship.  Several years after college, she ran marathons and road races competitively.  Ellen worked in the Raleigh area since graduating; working in a variety of settings including nursing home, home health, outpatient and sports medicine.  She maintained a private practice specializing in head, neck and TMJ.  Upper body pain and manual techniques have been her special area of interest, particularly balancing the head and neck.  Her muscle energy techniques are highly effective especially with patients in severe pain.  She also treats the lower body especially patella femoral dysfunctions and has been trained in kinesiotaping.  She enjoys community service with a local kennel club and junior track club.
