Brian Ward PT

Brian is a native of Nashville, NC and graduated from East Carolina University in 1999 with a Master's degree in physical therapy. He started his career working for Carolina Physical Therapy Associates in a hospital based physical therapy clinic in Roanoke Rapids, NC. During his 2 years in Roanoke Rapids, Brian treated a vast variety of orthopedic, neurological and spinal conditions, as well as treated patients ranging in age from 2 weeks old to 98 years old. In this early experience, Brian discovered that he enjoyed treating people in the lesser populated areas of the state and providing quality care to the people of this area because he was able to treat the entire person, not just the ailment, and make a bigger impact on their life. Brian married his wife in 2001 and moved to the western part of the state where he worked in Mooresville, Concord and Statesville markets. During this time, Brian treated mainly orthopedic conditions ranging from lowback pain, neck pain and joint pain to post-surgical recovery from total knee replacements, rotator cuff repairs and cervical/lumbar fusions. He also became interested in treating patients with vertigo, dizziness and balance deficits. The people suffering from these conditions had gone untreated for many years and often were able to return to recreational activities that had eluded them for many years.

In the fall of 2006, Brian returned to Carolina Physical Therapy Associates to work in their Fuquay Varina location. Over the past 4 years, he has enjoyed treating the people of southern Wake county. He has been able to continue treating patients with dizziness, vertigo and balance problems. He enjoys treating patients with shoulder pain, espeically post rotator cuff repair surgery. While in college, Brian played baseball for Wake Forest University and since being in Fuquay Varina, he has been able to treat many of the young athletes in the area. Over the past four years, Brian has also been able to treat many worker's compensation patients and has enjoyed performing work conditioning training for these patients. Being able to get injured workers back into the work force is a crucial part of any rehab program and Brian enjoys thinking up work simulation tasks to help these people return to work. Brian enjoys working with the people of southern Wake county and northern Harnett county and looks forward to continuing his work in this area.

Shelly Watkins PT

Shelly is a native to the Fuquay-Varina area. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She graduated from Elon University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She treats patients with a variety of orthopedic conditions as well as diagnoses pertaining to Womens Health. Shelly volunteers regularly for the Special Olympics and served as captain for her team in Relay for Life several times.
